This is the classic view from Kerry Park, the one that stops visitors in their tracks and reminds locals of their good fortune. The Space Needle rises over the city, Puget Sound glitters below, and Mount Rainier stands majestic against a sky of fiery orange melting into evening blue. Spring blossoms in the foreground make it feel like a place you could walk into.

Seattle is one of the most striking cities anywhere. Where else can you paddleboard in the morning, hike alpine trails in the afternoon, and catch a world-class ballet or symphony in the evening? It's also personal for me: Seattle is my hometown and my husband and I had our wedding photos taken at this very spot.
